HiKorea Online Appointment Guide

In short

Use HiKorea to reserve visits at Immigration Offices in Korea for ARC application, visa extension, address change, and other services. Prepare your ARC/passport, contact info, and documents before selecting a date and time.

What You Need Before Booking

  • ARC or passport details (name must match exactly).
  • Contact number in Korea for SMS notices.
  • Login method: HiKorea ID or mobile/digital certificate (Kakao/Naver/PASS) if required.
  • Service type (ARC new/reissue, visa extension, address change, work permit, etc.).
  • Supporting documents (application form, photo, contract/enrollment, fee methods).
💡 Tip Choose the correct office by your residential address in Korea; some cities have multiple branches with separate queues.

How to Book on HiKorea (PC & Mobile)

  1. Open HiKorea → go to Visit Reservation (방문예약).
  2. Select service (e.g., Alien Registration, Visa Extension, Change of Address).
  3. Choose office by region → pick a date/time slot.
  4. Enter applicant info exactly as on your passport/ARC → add contact number and email.
  5. Confirm & save the reservation. Download or screenshot the confirmation page/QR.

If slots are full, check early morning or just after noon when new times sometimes open. Urgent cases may be handled at the information desk, but acceptance varies by office.

⚠️ Note Multiple no-shows can limit your ability to book future appointments. Always cancel if you cannot attend.

Change, Cancel, or Reprint the Reservation

  • Change date/time: Open My Reservations → select booking → choose a new slot (if available).
  • Cancel: Use the same menu to cancel; you may rebook immediately afterward.
  • Reprint/QR: Download the confirmation again from My Page → Reservation List.
  • Group/family booking: Add dependents in the party size if allowed by your office; otherwise make separate reservations.
💡 Tip If your name order or special characters cause errors, try entering as on your ARC (no middle name or hyphens) or switch keyboard to English-only.

On the Day: Check-in & Documents

  1. Arrive 10–15 minutes early and take a queue ticket if required.
  2. Show your reservation (printout/QR) and passport/ARC at the counter.
  3. Submit documents for your service (photo, form, fee revenue stamp, contracts/certificates).
  4. Payment: Pay by card or revenue stamp depending on service; keep the receipt.
  5. Follow-up: For ARC, expect 2–3 weeks for card issuance; you may choose pickup or registered mail in Korea.
⚠️ Note Address changes must be reported within 14 days. Late reporting may result in fines in Korea.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Q. Do I need an appointment for all services?
    A. Most services require a reservation, especially in Seoul/Busan. Some offices accept limited walk-ins, but availability is not guaranteed.
  2. Q. I cannot find slots. What can I do?
    A. Check multiple times per day, try nearby branches, or look 2–3 weeks ahead. Cancellations often free up morning slots.
  3. Q. Can a friend or employer book for me?
    A. Yes, they can reserve online using your exact details, but you must attend in person with your original passport/ARC unless stated otherwise.
  4. Q. My name doesn’t match the system format.
    A. Use the same spacing/capitalization as on your ARC. If still rejected, try the passport format or visit the office with both IDs.
